Recent reports suggest that Akshay Kumar has signed a big film, with Nikkhil Advani and Vashu Bhagwani, that will be directed by Lucknow Central filmmaker Ranjit Tiwari. We had already told you how Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor were offered the same film and they had passed it on. Now, Akki has been signed on for the project, the report added but it didn't have any details on the film. 

Well, you don't have to go far ahead. We have all the deets you want to know about the film. A source close to the development reveals, "Nikkhil has been planning this film for sometime. It's a suave action spy thriller where Akshay plays one of the special agents. The film is completely set in the 80s and will be a period action espionage film." Interestingly, the movie has also found its title. The informer adds, "Since it's set in the '80s, the team has called the film Bell Bottoms. Yes, that's the title of the actioner and the whole cast including Akshay will be seen wearing clothes that were prevalent in that era." 

Akshay Kumar might have delivered three back to back hits this year with Kesari, Mission Mangal and Housefull 4 ringing in the numbers at the box office. But he has an interesting line up of films in the coming years as well. While shoot for Laxmmi Bomb is on, he has also been signed on to play the lead in YRF's period drama based on live of warrior Prithviraj Chauhan. Along with this, he also makes his digital debut with a three-part web series that was announced earlier this year. Now, it needs to be seen which one becomes the first project to be rolled out by the superstar.
