Javed Jaffrey's eldest son Meezaan is currently in news since he will make his foray into films with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next production venture Malaal. The film releases this Friday and also introduces SLB's niece Sharmin Segal in the movies. Pinkvilla caught up with the two newcomers who were extremely honest and candid about life, love and films.

Sharmin revealed how she was fatshamed in school. Sharmin said, "In school, for 10 years, people used to make fun of me because I was overweight. So at the end of the year, the ones who used to fatshame me were sitting in the audience while I was performing on stage. I was looking for my mother and then I saw them laughing at me and I realised that they weren't laughing at a fat Sharmin but they were laughing at the character."

They also took the nepotism debate on their chin and told us, "Your uncle is producing your movie. That for me is nepotism. This is a chance I have been given and if I don't make the most out of it, I'm misusing the opportunity. If you're not giving your 100 per cent, you're letting them down and of course, it's a pressure."

Apart from this, Meezaan has been spotted a few times dining with Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda. There were talks about them dating but the actor refuted all rumours and told us, "My relationship has already made headlines but it wasn't a relationship." When prodded further he admitted,"Maybe, I'm in a relationship but not with Navya. Just because I got papped with my friend doesn't mean she's my girlfriend. Maybe you will believe me when I get papped with my actual girlfriend." He also added, "It's unfair to the other person, even Navya in this case. The media should draw a line somewhere but personally, I don't care what's being said."

If he doesn't change his hairstyle soon, he will become the poor man's Ranvir.

More like the underrated man's Ranveer. He is so much more modest and cool than Ranveer.

I low key wished him and Navya were actually dating. They look so good together!

This guy exudes some real spark and sexiness and dances well. Whether he'll impress through his acting, remains to be seen. As of now, he attracts attention.

Why nepotism is almost synonym to sin? You invest your hard earned crores for a family member or a friend’s child. It is your gambling. You win, the kid gets a break, if not both lose. When it clearly the gambling these adults take, how does it affect you? If I have a business I will train my son to take after me, if I have a farm, same thing. But for film industry doing the same is sin? How? Did they ruin anyone by giving a chance to family member? How many movies does this nepokid gets after first break without talent? Why all this noise for film industry only? Can these people accuse Reliance Ambanis promoting nepotism because they put their children into high positions? Only film industry is getting hit for nepotism is not fair.

Now this is exactly where a Kangana has a valid point when she talks of nepotism.
