EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Kick 2 to be directed by Rohit Shetty?
Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty have been discussing on working together for quite sometime. Finally, we can tell you that both of them want to make Kick 2.
Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty's duo is a pairing waiting to happen on screen. While the filmmaker is known for delivering massive hits, it's Salman Khan who has ruled the box office roost in the last one decade. For the longest time, there were rumours about both of them teaming up for a film, but there had been no official confirmation on the same.
But during the promotions of Bharat, Salman finally accepted that he and Rohit are indeed in talks for a project. He told a daily, "Why is it a rumour? Rohit and I have talked about working together. There is nothing definite yet. If our talks materialise into something, you’ll hear about it."
Now, we can tell you that the actor and the director are discussing about one movie in particular - Kick 2. Our source reveals, "Sajid Nadiadwala has been working on the script on Kick 2 relentlessly in the past one year. They have fine tuned it and now, it's almost locked. Salman returns with Jacqueline Fernandez for the sequel and the producer and the superstar discussed the idea of roping in Rohit to direct part two. Sajid is extremely fond of Rohit and he has already discussed the whole idea with him. "
The sequel begins from where the original, directed by Nadiadwala, got over. "Rohit will be a perfect fit to make Kick 2 because the film is high on action and car chase sequences, something that Rohit is a master at. Plus, bringing Rohit and Salman's combination for this film will add more star value to it." But this isn't the only project Salman and Rohit are talking about. "Rohit also has a script of his own which he's pitched to Salman. If Kick 2 doesn't work out immediately, they might sit together on the other film."
