EXCLUSIVE: Bipasha & Karan Haven't Seen Their Wedding Outfits, It's Considered Inauspicious: Stylist Shyamli Arora
There is a lot of excitement around Bong beauty Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover’s wedding. The good-looking couple is all set to tie the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on April 30. A mehendi night will be hosted for the lovebirds by their family & friends on April 29.
Amidst all the curiosity around Bipasha’s wedding, we too tried to dig in some more information about the bride and groom-to-be. Especially, regarding what the two will be wearing for their wedding functions!
Pinkvilla spoke to Bips stylist and long-time friend Shyamli Arora, who is in-charge of all the wedding outfits, for both the bride and the groom. Shyamli told us, “Bipasha and Karan, both are looking for a traditional wedding and are following all the customs and rituals to T. As a matter of fact, the whole world wants to know what Bipasha-Karan will be wearing to their wedding functions, but honestly, even they both have no idea! (laughs) The bride and groom haven’t seen any of their wedding outfits and are completely clueless.”
When we asked Shyamli why it is so, she explained the reason behind the same. “As per the traditions, it is inauspicious if the groom sees any outfits of the bride. Bipasha is following every ritual and going the traditional way in regard to this wedding. In order to not get anything jinxed, we have decided to keep the outfits under wraps. As I am styling both of them for the wedding, hence, both Karan and Bipasha have no idea about who is wearing what.”
So when will they get to see their wedding dresses? “Right on the day on the functions! We have taken huge pains to not reveal them anything about their dresses. So let the suspense be there. After all, it’s a matter of 1-2 days..(smiles)"
Shyamli also added, "She (Bipasha) will be seen in a traditional Bengali saree for the wedding celebrations; dressed as a Bengali bride. Red will be the integral colour of the outfits, with a hint of gold, for both Karan and Bipasha. That's all I can reveal for now."
But guess, we guys have to keep patience and wait for a few more days, to see how Bipasha & Karan look on their D-Day!
