Sonchiriya Box Office Collection Day 4: Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi's film shows a major drop in numbers
Sonchiriya's box office collection of day 4 is out. Check out how much Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar's film has earned so far.
Last Friday, two films released - Sonchiriya and Luka Chuppi. Sonchiriya stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana. On the other hand, Luka Chuppi stars Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurrana. Both films are completely different from each other.
Sonchiriya is a dacoit drama, an action thriller which shows us the harsh reality of our society today. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film received mostly positive reviews from the critics. However, despite being called as one of the best films of this year so far, Sonchiriya is struggling at the box office.
The first and second day collection of the film was the same, Rs 1 crore. On Sunday, this Sushant starrer earned Rs 1.50 crore approx. On Monday, the collection went down as the film earned Rs 80 lakhs approx at the box office. As reported by Box Office India, the total collection of Sonchiriya so far is Rs 4.30 crores approx.
On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi is doing well. The film has collected Rs 38.90 crores approx so far.
Total Dhamaal and Gully Boy which released last month are also performing well at the box office.
On Sunday, Sushant Singh Rajput thanked the audiences for loving the film and also mentioned that despite great reviews the numbers are low. The actor shared his concern over the dubbed version of Sonchiriya being shown in some theatres. He cleared that the team has not dubbed the film in any language and it is released only in the original dialect that's there in the film.
