Director Nishikant Kamat comes with a baggage of films like ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’, ‘Force’, ‘Lai Bhaari’ which have done well both commercially and critically. And now the humble and versatile filmmaker is gearing up for his next ‘Drishyam’, which hits the theatres this week. Ahead of the release, Nishikant talks about the movie, on working with Ajay Devgn, his passion for cinema and more.
‘Drishyam’ is a remake of the Tamil film. Have you made any changes to the original script?

You doing ‘Hate Story 3’ was a pleasant surprise. What made you accept the role?
The script of the movie excited me. It is a fine drama and I have a great part to play in it. Hence I accepted the role.

Interviewing the six-year-old Harshaali Malhotra is not an easy task. The little girl has shot to fame with her innocent mute performance in Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and is currently basking in the limelight that is coming her way.
While she was ‘bored’ of giving interviews and preferred playing with the journalists, we managed to convince the chirpy kid to answer a few questions for us, of course with some help from her mother Kajal Malhotra, who was sitting beside her. Excerpts from the interview:
