Box Office Report: Poor Opening for Wazir

Bejoy Nambiar's Wazir is the first major release of 2016 and the film has unfortunately received a poor opening. The movie, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead, has had collections as poor as 15% across the board.
The morning shows have been lesser that Farhan's Shaadi Ke Side Effects but higher than Amitabh Bachchan's Shamitabh and Piku.
Given that there was no big release in the last three weeks, after Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale, the major challenge that the film poses is to interest and draw the audience to the theatres.
The positive word of mouth that the film has received from most critics might help the film pick up in the evening shows
