Badla Box Office Collection Day 1: Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu's film opens on a decent note

Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Badla has been grabbing all the eyeballs, thanks to all the positive word of mouth. The movie has been directed by Sujoy Ghosh and has been co-produced by Red Chillies making it one of the most gripping thrillers of Hindi cinema. The movie had a decent opening on its first day. According to Box Office India, Badla showed an upward trend during the evening shows taking the collection to around Rs 5 crores on Day 1.

The movie has already covered its costs so its just about where the film can go theatrically. The movie has a better chance at doing business in the big metros especially Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. The film is expected to grow more during the weekend but faces the biggest competition from Captain Marvel which also released alongside Badla. Just a day after its release, the movie has already been leaked online by the Tamilrockers.

Badla is an official adaptation of a Spanish film called The Invisible Guest. Badla also stars Prakash Raj, Manav Kaul, Pankaj Tripathi and Sanjay Mishra among others in pivotal roles. This is the second time Big B and Taapsee teamed together post Pink which was a hit as well. Amitabh and Taapsee have won hearts with their respective performance in Badla. Shah Rukh Khan who is the co-producer to the movie is obviously very overwhelmed with the response.
