The Lion King Box Office Collection India Day 5: Disney film is steady as it inches closer to Rs 75 crore mark
After a good weekend, The Lion King is continuing to remain steady during the week. Read on to know how much the Disney flick earned on day five, Tuesday.
Disney's latest offering The Lion King is turning out to have a successful run at the domestic box office since it released on 19 July. The live-action remake had an extraordinary weekend as it crossed the 50 crore mark in just a matter of few days. The Lion King released in India in four languages with the Hindi version having voices of Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, Shreyas Talpade among others. After a good weekend, the film is continuing to remain steady during the week.
According to a report in Box Office India, on day five, i.e. Tuesday, The Lion King raked in Rs 7 crore nett taking the five day total to Rs 68.75 crore nett. As per the report, the first week collection is possibly going to be Rs 80 crore nett and The Lion King may become the second biggest Hollywood film in India in possibly eight or nine days.
It also added that The Lion King's collection, barring the opening day, has been way better than Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30. This means that the Disney film has higher collections over a five day period and a stronger trend than Super 30. However, come Friday, it may face some competition from Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Judgementall Hai Kya which has created a huge buzz and also generated a whole lot of controversy.
