Student of the Year 2 Box Office Collection Day 7: Tiger, Ananya and Tara starrer crosses Rs 50 crore mark

Student of the Year 2 which marked the debut of Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria opened on a decent note on the first day and showed a little jump on Saturday and Sunday. However, post the weekend, the collection is following the downward trend and the same has been below Rs 10 crores. As per BOI, the movie collected Rs 3 crores 50 lakhs on day 7 and the same makes the total of Rs 55 crores and 25 lakhs. For the unversed, the movie garnered Rs 11 crores and 75 lakhs on its opening day.
BOI's report stated, "Student of The Year 2 recorded average first-week collections of around 55 crore nett. The film should have done better but it's not too bad especially considering the reports were not encouraging." The report also mentioned that the movie cannot afford to drop around 60 to 70 percent from Thursday.
Speaking of the movie, the same is a sequel to the 2012 movie of the same name. The movie is helmed by Punit Malhotra of I Hate Love Storys. It is bankrolled by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions and was distributed by Fox Star Studios. The movie is written by Arshad Sayed. The movie has been receiving a mixed response from the masses and critics.
