Viswasam Box Office Collection: Thala Ajith starrer touches Rs 200 crore mark worldwide
Thala Ajith and Lady Superstar Nayanthara starrer Viswasam is shattering box office records as the film hits the Rs 200-crore mark.
Thala Ajith and Lady Superstar Nayanthara starrer Viswasam which released on January 11 has achieved a milestone as the film touches Rs 200-crore mark. The film has been setting the cash registers ringing, breaking one record after another since its release. Viswasam had zoomed past last year's blockbuster film Sarkar starring Thalapathy Vijay at the Tamil Nadu box office as well and went on to become a fourth highest grossing film in Tamil Nadu. Viswasam has earned Rs 139 crores alone at Tamil Nadu box office.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Viswasam – Road to ₹ 200 Cr WW Gross: TN – ₹ 139 Crs, AP, TG, KE, KA & ROI – ₹ 18 Cr, Overseas – ₹ 43 Crs...Total – ₹ 200 Crs”. Viswasam released along with Rajinikanth's Petta and both the films opened to a positive response. Rajinikanth and Ajith starrer have been giving a neck to neck competition since their release at the box office. Going by all the love and appreciation that Thala Ajith’s Viswasam has been receiving, it is expected that the team might host success bash soon.

Meanwhile, Thala Ajith will soon start the shooting for the Tamil remake of Bollywood film Pink opposite Vidya Balan. The first look of the film was released recently and fans have a lot of expectations from this courtroom-drama. Pink starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles.
