War Box Office Collection Day 1: Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's action flick is off to a spectacular start

War saw a historic advance booking collection of Rs 30 crore plus and now that the day one collection figures are out, the film has exceeded even the 30 crore mark.

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's latest action flick has created a storm at the box office and it is only day one. The film which released on a national holiday saw a historic advance booking collection of Rs 30 crore plus and now that the day one collection figures are out, War has exceeded even the 30 crore mark. Yes, you heard that right. According to a report in Box Office, the Siddharth Anand directorial minted a staggering amount of Rs 50 crore nett plus on day one across India. The action flick's collection is only set to soar over the weekend before a small drop on day two maybe. 

War beat the numbers of Thugs Of Hindostan by around Rs 2 crore nett despite being released on far lesser screens. The action drama released across Indian on around 3800 plus screens in Hindi. The huge figure comes from the Hindi film's collection. However, regional versions may have added a little more to the film.

War faced competition from Sye Raa Narsimha Reddy and Hollywood's Joker. If War had a solo release, the collection could have gone up to Rs 55 crore nett. Both the film fared on an average note as compared to War. Pinkvilla in its review gave the film 3 out of 5 stars and stated, "Hrithik stands out and yet again proves why he is the super-agent who can equally play darker shades with finesse. Tiger Shroff has played the gutsy, risk-taking commando in his last few films. The experience of those helps him to convince the audience that he has come a long way from the action-loving lover boy."
