EXCLUSIVE: Janhvi Kapoor to start shoot for Hindi remake of Helen from June; Sunny Kaushal likely to join cast

Janhvi Kapoor seems to have a busy year ahead. In January, the actress had started shooting for Aanand L Rai produced Good Luck Jerry, which is being directed by Sidharth Sengupta. She is presently promoting her upcoming horror-comedy, the Hardik Mehta directed Roohi with Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma. She also has Collin D'Cunha’s Dostana 2 lined up. Pinkvilla now has an exclusive update on another Janhvi starrer that is soon to go on the floors. It was earlier reported that Jahnvi has signed the Hindi remake of the Malayalam hit Helen, and we have learnt that she will start shooting for it from June.
“Helen remake will be shot in North India, and director Mathukutty Xavier along with the DOP and the rest of his team is currently scouting for appropriate locations. Besides Janhvi, Sunny Kaushal too is likely to feature in the film. He has been approached and has really liked the subject. They will start prepping for the film closer to the shooting date,” informs a source close to the development. Buzz is that Manoj Pahwa also features in the movie and will play Janhvi’s on-screen father. 
The Hindi version of this survival-thriller is reportedly being produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. Helen has been extremely well received by the audience, and has bagged it’s leading lady Anna Ben a Kerala State Film Award – Special Jury Award for her performance in the Malayalam film. Helen was released in 2019, and is apparently being made in Tamil as well.
