EXCLUSIVE: Kartik Aaryan to romance Jacqueline Fernandez in this film and it's NOT Kirik Party?
Although the two actors were supposed to be paired opposite each other in the Hindi remake of Kirik Party, the film has been shelved. Instead, the jodi will be seen for the first time in Chashme Baddoor 2.
Kartik Aaryan has become hot property in Bollywod today. After delivering two back to back superhit films, the actor is in high demand. The young star is rising on popularity charts and has become the go-to guy for several producers and filmmakers. With Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Luka Chuppi hitting the bull's eye at the box office, Kartik is turning out to be a face for such films. Now, a sequel to Chashme Baddoor is being planned but David Dhawan, who directed the previous one starring Taapsee Pannu, won't be helming the sequel.
Jacqueline Fernandez has been approached for the main lead and the actress has liked the script. The final formalities need to be closed but the actress has agreed to be part of the comedy franchise. Now, the makers are planning to cast Kartik Aaryan as the hero.
A little birdie reveals, "The producers want Kartik because he will not only add value to the project but make it a bankable feature. His films are doing 80-100 crore business now and he is also instrumental in driving such films. Chashme Baddoor is also in that funny, happy comedy space which he's brilliant in. They have initiated talks with him. Once he returns from the second schedule of Aaj Kal from Udaipur, he will formally meet the director and decide on whether he wants to be a part of the film." Kartik and Jacqueline, who featured in an ad together last year, was supposed to team up on screen for the first time in Ajay Kapoor-produced Kirik Party. But the film has been put on the backburner and now, if Chashme Baddoor works out, this will be the debut for their jodi.

Apart from this, Jackie will be making her web debut with Shirish Kunder's Mrs Serial Killer. On the other hand, Kartik is working on Imtiaz Ali's film along with Pati, Patni Aur Woh. He has also given his nod to Anees Bazmee's college romance where he will be romancing Disha Patani.
