EXCLUSIVE: Riverdale star Lili Reinhart loved playing someone who's 'innocently provocative' in Hustlers

Jennifer Lopez is garnering major Oscar buzz for her turn as Ramona, the owner of a popular strip club who sets up a scam to hustle from her wealthy Wall Street clients, in Lorene Scafaria's directorial Hustlers. Along with Jennifer, Hustlers is packed with a star-studded cast, which includes Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B. While Hustlers is raking in the moolah at the US box-office, the movie will be releasing in India, this week!

Lili is popularly known for playing Betty Cooper in Riverdale and in Hustlers, the 23-year-old actress plays Annabelle, who she describes as, "the youngest member of the quartet is Annabelle, a striking combination of innocence and allure." Speaking more about what drew her to her Hustlers character, Reinhart shared, "Your heart goes out to her. I liked the idea of playing a woman who is innocently provocative and a little clueless – and who has a lot to learn."

Furthermore, talking about the bond shared between her character and JLo's character Ramona, Lili informed, "Annabelle is in an especially vulnerable place when we meet her; she’s living without her family, which has rejected her because of Annabelle’s profession; and trying to get by the best way she can. Annabelle responds to Ramona’s motherly care and immediately bonds with her."
