Today, India witnessed a landmark ruling by the Supreme Court by making a unanimous decision of decriminalising Section 377. The whole nation triumphed when the news was announced and couldn't stop lauding SC's decision which was headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra. He said, "LGBT Community has same rights as of any ordinary citizen. Respect for individual choice is the essence of liberty; the LGBT community possesses equal rights under the constitution. Criminalising gay sex is irrational and indefensible."

When we contacted actor Kangana Ranaut to know her reaction on this stupendous news. She stated, "This is a great news! It's very progressive and democratic." Well, we can't agree more! Speaking of Section 377, the 158-year-old colonial law considered "carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal a natural offence" and were to be punished by up to 10 years in jail under the 1861 law.

Finally, LOVE wins in India and there's nothing greater than that!

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana is completing the shoot of her upcoming film Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi, where she plays the titular role. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of television beauty Ankita Lokhande and is helmed by Krish. The period drama is all set to release on January 25, 2019.
