Aladdin movie starring Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott is one of the popular movies right now. Speaking of the second Friday's collection, the same was Rs 2 crore, as per BOI. The report read," The film is just a little over 50% down from last week and is now sure to cross the 40 crore nett and there can be a chance of 50 crore nett also if its shows huge growth over the weekend and gets some showtime post the release of Bharat."
The movie garnered Rs 4 crore 15 lakhs on the day one in India and on weekends it saw a good jump and collected more than 6 crore on Saturday and Sunday. However, since Monday the movie has been witnessing downward trend but the same is not that bad considering the flick is a Hollywood one. Talking about the movie, the same is a musical fantasy movie and it is directed by none other than Guy Ritchie. He co-wrote the movie's screenplay with John August.
The movie is produced by Walt Disney Pictures and it is a live-action adaptation of Disney's 1992 animated film of the same name. The movie which is based on the eponymous Middle Eastern folktale from One Thousand and One Nights. Apart from Will, Mena and Naomi, the movie also stars Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, and Billy Magnussen. The movie follows the life of a street urchin who falls in love with Princess Jasmine and how he gets a wish-granting Genie.
