Box Office Occupancy Day 1: The Zoya Factor, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas & Prassthanam open on a dull note

Sonam K Ahuja, Dulquer Salmaan’s The Zoya Factor, Sanjay Dutt’s Prassthanam and Karan Deol, Sahher Bambba’s Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas released today. Check out the box office occupancy of day 1 of all the three releases.

Every Friday, a new film releases that leaves movie-goers excited. This week, three films released of different genres including Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Dulquer Salmaan’s The Zoya Factor, Sanjay Dutt’s Prassthanam, and Karan Deol, Sahher Bambba’s Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. While all films belong to different genres, the promotions of all three was in full swing. Sonam and Dulquer had been promoting their film on social media as well as on reality shows. On the other hand, Karan and Sahher were joined by Sunny Deol for promotions. 

Now, the films have been released and the initial box office reports are out. The Zoya Factor, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas & Prassthanam have kick started on a dull note and the box office occupancy report stands at 5-10 percent. Previous releases Dream Girl starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor’s Chhichhore are doing much better as compared to the new releases. Going by the initial reactions,  Sonam and Dulquer’s The Zoya Factor and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas may see an increase in the collections by evening.

Sonam K Ahuja and Dulquer Salmaan starrer The Zoya Factor was based on a popular book of the same name by Anuja Chauhan and has been directed by Abhishek Sharma. The film’s collections might increase due to the word of mouth over the weekend. With Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol makes his debut in Bollywood and many of Sunny’s fans will head to theatres to support him. As of the initial reviews, the film is being liked for the visuals. Prassthanam is an intense film with a political backdrop and it needs to be seen how it fares. It will be interesting to see how the three films fare at the box office considering the competition from previous week’s releases
