Mission Mangal Box Office Collection Day 3: Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar starrer inching closer to Rs 100 crore
After a record opening of Rs 28.50 crore on Thursday, Mission Mangal witnessed a spectacular Saturday at the domestic box office. Read on to know how much it raked in.
Mission Mangal released on August 15 and taking full advantage of the national holiday the film has recorded an excellent box office collection so far. Starring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi, Mission Mangal has impressed the audiences so far though it opened to mixed reviews from critics. After a record opening of Rs 28.50 crore on Thursday, the film witnessed a spectacular Saturday at the domestic box office.
According to Box Office India, Mission Mangal's business in metro cities was up by 40 to 45 per cent but there was less growth at other places which is expected on Saturday. On day 3, i.e. Saturday, the film collected Rs 23.50 crore nett taking its total collection to Rs 69 crore nett in just three days.
The report added that Mission Mangal is likely to rake in almost Rs 95 crore nett over the weekend and it could go a few crores higher depending on Sunday's growth. The film has been performing well in Mumbai and South India. Regions like Delhi NCR and East Punjab are also showing strong numbers and it could sustain very well in these parts also. .
