Simmba Box Office Collection Day 1: Ranveer Singh roars as he gives tough competition to Shah Rukh Khan's Zero

Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba released on December 28, 2018, and the Day 1 collection is finally out. It's time for Singh to roar as he registered his BIGGEST opening ever and gave a tough competition to Shah Rukh Khan's Zero.

Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty were the dream Bollywood actor-director duo who everyone wanted to see collaborate in a movie together. Then came the announcement of Simmba, the Hindi remake of the Telegu film Temper (2015). After months of shooting, the trailer came out and created the right buzz, while the songs became chartbusters. Also starring newcomer Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles, Simmba had all the inklings of becoming a superhit. Then, we also have the epic cameo by Singham aka Ajay Devgn and you have the perfect recipe for the epic masala entertainer. 

As Simmba released yesterday, December 28, 2018, many were eager to know the opening day collection. According to Box Office India, Ranveer is all set to roar at the theatre screens as the actor has officially registered his BIGGEST opening ever! Beating his earlier release Padmaavat by Rs 2.50 crore nett, Simmba's Day 1 collection stands at Rs 20-20.50 crore nett range, which is huge for a non-holiday Friday. For Rohit Shetty, Simmba marks his fourth biggest opening after Singham Returns, Chennai Express and Golmaal Again, all of which released on national holidays.

Last week saw the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero which registered an opening day collection of Rs. 20.14 crore. With Simmba's tremendous Day 1 collection, Ranveer is giving tough competition to a superstar like Shah Rukh. With the positive word of mouth, the first weekend looks spectacular for Mr. Singh!
