Student of the Year 2 Box Office Collection Day 8: Tiger, Ananya & Tara's film sees a major drop in earnings
Speaking of SOTY 2, the same is directed by Punit Malhotra of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and I Hate Luv Storys fame and is bankrolled by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner Dharma Productions.

Student of the Year 2 which was released on last Friday opened on a good note in terms of box office collection. However, the movie saw drop in the collections since Monday. Yesterday, i.e. the second Friday saw a major dip in the numbers. As per Box Office India's report, Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria starrer collected mere Rs 1 crore 50 lakhs bringing the total collection to Rs 56 crores and 75 lakhs.
For the unversed, the day one collection was Rs 11 crore 75 lakhs and a saw a slight jump on the weekend. Since Tuesday, the movie has been garnering below Rs 5 lakhs at the ticket windows. The BOI's report stated, "Overall the film will be an average / below average affair depending on where the collections end. It should cross 65 crore nett but may not be able to reach 70 crore nett."
Speaking of the film, the same is directed by Punit Malhotra of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and I Hate Luv Storys fame and is bankrolled by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner Dharma Productions. Apart from Tiger, Ananya and Tara, the movie also stars Aditya Seal, Samir Soni, Gul Panag, Harsh Beniwal and Abhishek Bajaj. The movie has been receiving mixed reviews from both masses and critics. Recently, Karan Johar was trolled left, right and centre as he called Student of the Year 2 a summertime hit in his Instagram post.
