Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer Zero, which released on December 21 is facing a tough time at the box office. The makers of the film had left no stone unturned for the promotions and this only managed to increase the recall value of Zero among the audience. Despite that, Zero had a slow start at the box office on its first two days. On its first day, i.e. Friday, Zero made a collection of Rs 20.14 crores. It had witnessed a drop of around 12% and earned approx Rs 17 crores on its second day.

On Sunday, the SRK starrer has witnessed decent earnings and has minted approx around Rs 18.25 crore, thus taking its total collection to around Rs 54.60 crore. The film has witnessed a dull first weekend, and now, it remains to see if the film can benefit from Christmas holiday, which is on Tuesday. The first weekend business is much similar to SRK's Fan and better than Jab Harry Met Sejal. The film is doing best in UP and Bihar.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero also features special appearances by late Sridevi, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Abhay Deol and R Madhavan. The romantic drama received mixed reviews from the audience and looks like this has resulted in the box office collection.
