Zero Vs KGF box office collection Day 2: Shah Rukh Khan starrer shows drop, Yash starrer dominates

Shah Rukh Khan's Zero and Kannada star Yash's KGF are facing tough competition at the Box Office.

Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer Zero is witnessing Box Office battle with Kannada superstar Yash’s KGF. Both the films released together on December 21 and are witnessing tough competition at the ticket windows. On its first day, i.e. Friday, Zero made a collection of Rs 20.14 crores. While one expected the numbers will go up on its second day, the box office figures tell us otherwise. According to Box Office India report, Zero has witnessed a drop of around 12% and has earned Rs 17 crores approx. The total business of Zero stands at Rs 37.14 crores approx.

On day one, KGF earned Rs 18 crore approx with day 2 has registered impressive numbers at the ticket windows. The film has shown growth on its second day with a collection of Rs 19.25 crore approx and with this, total business of the film stands at around Rs 37.25 crore. The Hindi version had growth of 50% approx (Rs 3 crore), which is extremely good. In Karnataka, KGF has earned Rs 12 crore, in Nizam/Andhra Rs 2.50 crore, in Tamil Nadu Rs 1.25 crore and Rs 50 Lakhs in Kerala.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero needs to show good growth on Sunday in order to set a respectable first-weekend business. The first weekend collections is expected to end around Rs 55 crore approx which would be decent. Let’s see how the film performs in the coming days. Meanwhile, Yash starrer KGF which has released in five languages us surely dominating Box Office like a boss.
