Shraddha Kapoor to pair opposite Farhan Akhtar in Mohit Suri's next? Here's what the filmmaker has to say

Aashiqui 2 director Mohit Suri had announced his next project recently with Farhan Akhtar in the lead role. One was wondering who will be the female lead in the movie.
According to a leading daily, the director who considers Shraddha Kapoor as his lucky mascot, might cast her in his next movie as well. This all started after Shraddha was recently snapped spending some quality time with the director Suri and his family. Taking to Twitter, Shraddha recently shared a picture of herself having a fun time with Mohit's daughter and his pet dogs.
Following this, we contacted Mohit Suri to confirm the reports. Refuting the reports, Mohit Suri said, "Me and Shradha are friends .. she just came home to meet my daughter and wife. Please, I myself don't know what film I m doing next."
In an interview to a leading daily, Mohit while talking about his project said that the script is similar to the 1979 film, The Champ. “The story is close to my own relationship with my father, except that the film has boxing as its backdrop. I was eight when my mother passed away, and my father raised me on his own. The story is about the struggle he faced as a single dad at 36,” Mohit had said.
Shraddha and Farhan have worked together in Rock On 2 which released in 2016 and have been often been spotted together and are also rumoured to be dating. However, the two have never denied or accepted the relationship ever.
On the work front, Shraddha is currently prepping up for the release of his upcoming film Haseena Parkar. She has already started prepping up for Saina Nehwal's biopic.
