Actress Ameesha Patel is being questioned for alleged involvement in a check bounce fraud case. The petition against the accused actress was heard in Jharkhand High Court by Judge Anand Sen through video conferencing. Considering the seriousness of the case, the court heard statements by both parties and for a written response to be ready in the next 2 weeks. The complainant has accused the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai star of having him invest in a film; she later refused to be a part of it.

This on-going case was first lined in the lower court and is now being challenged in the High Court. As per the petition, Ajay Kumar Singh, the litigant met the Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai star during an event in Harmu Housing Colony back in 2017, wherein the actress allegedly got him to invest in her movie Desi Magic for which he transferred Rs. 2.5 crores in the actress’s bank account. According to the complaint, Patel did not proceed with the film as was promised and did not pay back the money either.

The complaint also states that the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actress has ‘Cheated’ the litigant, who demanded that the actress pays back his money, shortly after he got the information about the film not being made. According to him, Patel had given him a check which later bounced. As mentioned earlier, the next hearing of the case will be in 2 weeks where both parties would have to provide a clarification in written form directly to the court.
