Box Office: Aamir Khan-Zaira Wasim's Secret Superstar does well on Day 3
Here's the Day 3 box office collection of Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim's Secret Superstar.
Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim's latest outing Secret Superstar has resonated with the audience for its crisp content and fantastic casting. With the needed word of mouth, the box office figures of the same are growing as well albeit way lesser than Ajay Devgn and Parineeti Chopra starrer Golmaal Again.
While Day 1, which was Thursday saw the movie collect INR 4.75 crore at the tickets windows, Friday saw a growth in numbers as the movie made INR 9 crore at the box office.
Now, Day 3 collections are out by a leading trade website and showing stability, Secret Superstar has collected INR 8.50 crore on Saturday. The total collections now stand at INR 22.25 crore.
That is quite impressive indeed! While Sunday should see a good BO numbers for the movie, the real test for Secret Superstar will be on Monday.
Speaking of the plot of Secret Superstar, Zaira plays a 14-year-old girl named Insia who desires to be a singer much to the chagrin of her dad. She then decides to make her own YouTube channel in which she posts videos of herself singing while covering her face in a burkha. She is then scouted by Aamir's character who is a music director and is impressed by Insia's musical gift.
Secret Superstar is directed by Advait Chandan.
Sharing his thoughts, a day prior to the release of Secret Superstar, Aamir wrote on Twitter, "One day to go...tom the film releases all over (and on 20th in Turkey). I hope you all like it. Haven't been able to sleep for the past 1 week... fingers crossed... waiting for your reactions ?? Love. a."
