EXCLUSIVE: Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor's Dostana 2 to go on floors in October

While Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor will play brother and sister in Dostana 2, the two actors have already locked their dates to begin with the romcom. Here's how the schedule looks like.

Recently, Karan Johar made the announcement that possibly every fan was waiting for. He officially announced Dostana 2 with Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. While the hunt for 'a suitable boy' is on, we hear that Kartik and Janhvi won't be paired opposite each other. In fact, the two Gen-Y stars will play siblings in the film, who fall for the same guy.

While the plot seems and sounds extremely interesting, the makers are now trying to lock dates for the project. Says a source, "Kartik is busy with a few projects already. He just wrapped up the sequel of Love Aaj Kal and is now shooting for Pati, Patni Aur Woh in Lucknow. After he wraps this schedule, Kartik will finish the whole film by September-end. On the other hand, Janhvi is juggling between two movies- the biopic on IAF officer Gunjan Saxena and Rooh-i-Afza. She will also be completely free only by September."

So Dharma plans to roll Dostana 2 from October. "The idea is to complete the film in two to three schedules. So they shoot between October to December. Kartik takes a small break from the shoot to finish promotions for Pati, Patni and resumes again. Then January onwards, Kartik moves on to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 whereas Janhvi will start prepping for her role in Karan Johar's Takht which is also scheduled to begin early next year." Clearly, the actors' dates are choc-a-block right now.
