EXCLUSIVE: Kartik Aaryan picks Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 over college romance opposite Disha Patani

Although it was previously announced that Anees Bazmee and Kartik Aaryan are teaming up for a college romance, that also stars Disha Patani, we hear that the actor and the filmmaker have decided to push that film ahead and work on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 instead.

EXCLUSIVE: Kartik Aaryan picks Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 over college romance opposite Disha Patani

Kartik Aaryan is slowly turning out to be the dark horse of Bollywood. The young actor received tremendous applause for his performance in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and it soon catapulted him to stardom. Kartik then delivered another superhit in Luka Chuppi and is now one of the most bankable actors we have from the Gen-Y brigade.

Now, he has not one but three big films lined up back to back and has also signed the fourth one. Pati, Patni Aur Woh releases in December, followed by Aaj Kal in February next year and Dostana 2 sometime in 2020. Along with these, Kartik has been locked as the main lead for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Joining him will be Akshay Kumar who's also rumoured to have a guest appearance in the psychological thriller. But this has caused a little shift in his schedule.

How? A source tells us, "Kartik was signed on to do a film with Aneees Bazmee. It was a college romance which had him opposite Disha Patani. The plan was to go on the floors in the last quarter of 2019 but now, Dostana 2 begins in October and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is scheduled to roll out around January 2020. In that case, since Bhool Bhulaiyaa is also being directed by Anees Bazmee. So both the filmmaker and the actor decided that they would rather do this film and give the college romance a miss. At least for now." So, for now, the other film is definitely getting pushed and might not have the same Kartik-Disha pairing anymore. But then again, isn't Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 a bigger bet? We agree!
