EXCLUSIVE: Omung Kumar on Kareena Kapoor Khan rejecting his film: Which biopic? I have no idea
Omung Kumar rubbishes reports of having approached Kareena Kapoor Khan for a film.
Reports were rife that Kareena Kapoor Khan had been approached for Omung Kumar's film - a biopic. The actress, who is currently gearing up for Veere Di Wedding, had also liked the script and the talks were on.
A source had informed a daily a few months back, "Omung has wanted to work with Kareena for quite some time and he has finally found the right script for her. It’s a biopic and the actress and filmmaker will soon sit for a round of narrations. Then Bebo will take a call on the film."
When we had asked Kareena about the movie, she neither agreed nor denied being approached for the movie. Bebo had said, "I have been reading a lot of scripts. But there is nothing concrete yet that I can talk about."
However, today, a new report in a daily suggested that Kareena has declined Omung's film. A source informed the daily, "Kareena had issues with the script and she told Omung very politely that she won’t be doing the biopic. She has been reading a lot of scripts but hasn’t green lighted anything after Veere Di Wedding."
When we got in touch with Omung Kumar to get a clarity on the same, he replied, "Which biopic, what script... I have no idea."
Guess, it was just another speculative story with no truth to it!
For now, Kareena Kapoor Khan has Veere Di Wedding in her kitty. The shoot of the same will begin in September and the movie also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in the lead. Omung Kumar, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of his film Bhoomi. The movie marks Sanjay Dutt's comeback after his release from the jail and also stars Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead role. Bhoomi is slated to release on September 22, 2017.
