Now, the Logout actor's team has officially issued a statement sharing their stance on the matter.
Babil Khan's family and team shared an official statement hours after his video breaking down surfaced on the internet. His team noted the amount of love and appreciation he has received for his work and honesty about his mental health journey. The statement further claimed that the actor was having a difficult day, further assuring that he is "safe and will be feeling better soon."
It has further been stated, "That said, a video of Babil has been widely misinterpreted and taken out of context." The team elaborated, "In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema."

His team stated that, "His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration — for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry."
