Queen Woo actor Song Jae Rim passes away at 39, funeral to be held on November 14

Song Jae Rim, the South Korean actor, has reportedly passed away. Aged 39, the actor was found dead at his residence. As per reports, the cause of his death has not been disclosed and the investigation into the case is still ongoing. Jae Rim recently appeared in the K-drama Queen Woo and previously gained immense fame for his role in We Got Married. 

On November 12, 2024, Seongdong Police Station in Seoul confirmed the passing away of Song Jae Rim. The actor was found dead in his apartment in Seongdong District, Seoul. The police, however, have notified that there were no signs of foul play at the site, but an investigation is still going out to rule out every possibility. The artist’s family and friends are preparing for his funeral, which will be held on November 14, 2024, in a private ceremony.

Shockingly, a 2-page letter was also found alongside the body, which many are considering to be a suicide note. The contents of the letter have not been disclosed. Furthermore, the cause of death is yet to be confirmed and it appears the actor's fans would have to wait for some time to find out what the reports say. 

Song Jae Rim started his career as a runaway model and worked with various luxury brands and global magazine publications. However, he entered the world of acting in 2009 and made his debut with the movie Actresses. He gained significant fame with his appearance in the show Moon Embracing the Sun. He went on to star in several K-dramas such as Unkind Women, Thumping Spike, Goodbye Mr. Black, Our Gap Soon, Secret Mother, Clean with Passion for Now, I Wanna Hear Your Song, and more.

The actor also became a household name following his appearance in the variety show We Got Married Season 4 in 2014 alongside Kim So Eun. Recently, he played a major role in the web series Queen Woo alongside Ji Chang Wook, Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Mu Yeol, Jung Yoo Mi, and more.
