Box-Office Report: Jai Gangaajal Has A Slow Saturday
Priyanka Chopra starrer Jai Gangaajal had a poor opening at the box office and unfortunately, the collections failed to increase considerably over the weekend. The collection showed limited growth of up to 10% to 15%. Till now, Jai Gangaajal has managed to earn INR Rs 4.5 crores and INR Rs 5 crores on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The film has collected INR Rs 9 crores till Day two at the box-office.
The Prakash Jha directorial opened to mix reviews and we can only hope that the film is able to mint more money on Sunday.
The film is a sequel to the Gangaajal starring Ajay Devgan that released in 2003. Jai Gangaajal did decent in some circuits but not well enough to hold any value as a brand to its prequel. The film does not have high costs but the business of the film is around 20-25% less than it should be. The film needed to be around the 20 crore nett mark for the weekend but it has no chance of getting there.
