Manikarnika & Thackeray Box Office Occupancy: Kangana Ranaut & Nawazuddin Siddiqui's films get a normal start
Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray released on the big screen today. The occupancy report of the opening day is out.
Today, two Bollywood films released on the big screen nationwide and they are, Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray. When Pinkvilla contacted trade analyst Girish Johar to know about Manikarnika's opening numbers, he stated, "The occupancy from what I have seen is around the mark of 30 per cent. This is above average and the film will pick up the pace in the evening as people are liking it." While about Thackeray, he said, "I am putting around 10-15% and I am hearing some good reviews for it. I am expecting it to pick up in the evening shows."
Now as per reports in Box Office India, Manikarnika has got the occupancy of about 15-20%. The movie is the biggest budget woman-centric film, Bollywood has ever seen and we have to wait and watch, how much it will be making over the weekend. On the other hand, Thackeray had a low start with only 10% of occupancy in the domestic market. The film is likely to make money in Maharashtra and its surrounding areas.

Manikarnika also marks the directorial debut of Kangana and it also has Ankita Lokhande, making her Bollywood debut in a pivotal role as Jhalkari Bai. Meanwhile, Thackeray is directed by Abhijit Panse and has Amrita Rao as the female lead opposite Nawazuddin.
