EXCLUSIVE: Ayushmann Khurrana signs another Sriram Raghavan directorial after AndhaDhun; read details
While we all loved AndhaDhun last year, now the actor-director duo are reuniting for another project. Ayushmann Khurrana will soon be beginning shoot for yet another Sriram Raghavan directorial and we can't keep calm.
At a time when Indians complain about not having great thrillers made in the industry, Sriram Raghavan and Ayushmann Khurrana delivered a movie that redefined the entire genre. AndhaDhun, that released last year, is possibly one of the finest work that we have seen in recent times. With Ayushmann and Tabu, the director hit a home run at the box office as well.
Now, a year later, there are strong murmurs in the industry about a possible reunion. Our source tells us, "Sriram has pitched an idea to Ayushmann and he has liked it very much. In fact, he has also given his nod to the project. Sriram had taken time off to write two scripts. This is yet again a typical Sriram RAghavan film which will be dark, intriguing and mysterious."
But it isn't AndhaDhun 2. The informer adds, "Sriram doesn't believe in making sequels and franchises. Although there's been enough talk about AndhaDhun 2, this film isn't that one. It's a new project with a completely fresh plotline and he plans to mount it sometime this year after Ayushmann completes Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan." Currently, the actor wrapped shoot for Bala and is working on Shoojit Sircar's Gulaabo Sitaabo alongisde Amitabh Bachchan. 
Sriram, on the other hand, is also fine tuning the script of another film. "He is directing the Arun Khetarpal biopic titled Ekkis. Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films is bankrolling the project and althouugh it was supposed to go on floors this year, it has now been pushed a bit. Varun Dhawan will mostly step into Arun's shoes and he will begin shoot for this film only after he completes the other films he's committed to." We sent a text to both Ayushmann and Sriram but both of them chose not to respond to our query. But the AK-Sriram reunion has got us excited already.
