Pinkvilla was the first to report that Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and the entire team of this Amar Kaushik directed monster comedy, Bhediya will head to Arunachal Pradesh for a marathon schedule of the film, which is an extension of Dinesh Vijan’s horror universe, already consisting of Stree and Roohi. Just days after our report, Varun, Kriti and co. left for Arunachal Pradesh and the shoot is currently going on in full swing in the state. Speaking about the same, Dinesh Vijan shares, “We are shooting the film in Arunachal Pradesh and the honorable chief minister of the state has extended his unwavering support to our cast and crew. In Bhediya, we are exploring uncharted territories, it was quite a trek to get to places like Itanagar and Ziro, places where no film has shot. There were logistical challenges apart from the weather, but the end result was just fantastic.”

The filmmaker promises a theatrical experience with the film, taking things a notch higher in this universe of chills, and confirms an April 2022 opening. He informs that they worked hard on creating the world of Bhediya with some breath-taking visuals. “Amar (director), Varun and I are really happy with the visuals we are capturing. With an international VFX and Action team that hails from countries like the UK, South Africa and America, we are a massive unit trying to shoot a movie that is not only very unique, but also quite challenging technically. But by the end of the day we are creating some fantastic imagery and moments.,” he assures.
