Box-Office: Neerja Has a Successful Run at the Box-Office In Its 3rd Week!
Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja has emerged out to be a complete winner at the box-office and how! The biopic is based on senior flight attendant Neerja Bhanot who sacrificed her life to save other 359 passengers on the Pan Am 73 Flight, on 5 Sept 1986.
And going by the box-office numbers, this much-acclaimed film by the critics has won the audiences heart and is minting money at the ticket window even in its third week. Neerja benefited from the holiday for Mahashivratri in many parts of the country on its third Monday. The collections were almost similar to its third Friday. The four-day third week business of the film was INR RS 6.40 crores. The film earned INR Rs 1 crores on Friday, INR Rs 2 crores and INR Rs 3 crores on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. On Monday, the film earned Rs 90 lacs at the box-office.
With its stupendous performance at the ticket window, the total for the film so far is INR Rs 63 crore nett plus. The third-week business will be around 8.25 crore nett.
As per Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, Neerja has managed to suprass the lifetime business of Priyanka Chopra much-acclaimed, Mary Kom.The film was also a biopic based on the life of Olympic wrestler, Mary Kom.
