Jabariya Jodi Box Office Collection Day 4: Sidharth & Parineeti's film mints THIS amount on its first Monday

Jabariya Jodi Box Office Collection Day 4: Sidharth & Parineeti's film mints THIS amount on its first Monday

Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer Jabariya Jodi hit the theatres last week and is giving a poor performance at the box office. In fact, the film received mixed reviews from the audience. Jabariya Jodi is based on ‘Pakadwa Shaadi’ (groom kidnappings) which is prevalent in Bihar. In the film, Sidharth plays a character named Abhay Singh, while Parineeti portrays a girl called Babli Yadav.

Jabariya Jodi collected Rs 2.25 crore nett on Monday which is a 15% drop from its first day. However, due to Bakri Eid which boosted up the collections an extra 40-50%. The earnings will see a big fall today and the film will be out on Thursday. The records of the first week of the film will probably be approximately Rs 16-17 crore nett and it will not add much post that. It will be very difficult for the film's survival as the new releases come on Thursday. The first week business will be almost its lifetime business.

Talking about the film in an interview with TOI, Parineeti said, "This is just the kind of film Sidharth and I were looking for. The humour, desi swag, the Bihari language and the storyline… everything is in sync. And it’s not a new territory for me as I have been part of similar stories that were based in small towns. They have really helped me to evolve as an actor. It’s definitely challenging, but being an actor gives me a chance to explore many characters."
