KRACK Final Box Office Verdict: Ravi Teja Film's detailed report and why it is a BLOCKBUSTER

Ravi Teja’s Krack has almost ended its glorious run at the box-office in the Telugu speaking states and the action entertainer has emerged the first blockbuster of Indian cinema in the Covid times. The Gopichand Malineni directorial, also featuring Shruti Haasan in lead, is now gearing up for a digital premiere on January 29. While the film released a day later than its scheduled date, it opened with a bang and recorded a healthy trend at the box-office through it’s two week run thereby cementing it’s position as a blockbuster.

It marked the return of Ravi Teja, putting an end to his dull run at the box-office. The distribution rights of the film in Telugu speaking states was sold at Rs 16.50 crore, whereas the rights for overseas and other minor territories in India was sold at an aggregate amount of Rs 3.50 crore. The 16-day distributor share of Krack in Telugu speaking states stands at Rs 30.15 crore, thereby resulting in a recovery of 185% and with two days more remaining for its digital premiere, it is expected to close it’s lifetime collections around Rs 32 crore, thereby resulting in 200% recovery or 100% profit for the distributors.

The film has recovered its investment even in Karnataka and USA, which was it’s key market abroad, thereby ensuring returns for stakeholders all across the globe. Not much was expected from Krack given that Ravi Teja was not in the best of his form, however it has come across as a complete surprise and played a major role in revival of Telugu film industry. The success of Krack has pushed a lot of producers in the Telugu market to release their upcoming films, which were delayed due to the pandemic. What makes the success of Krack even more significant is the fact that the audience has come in to watch the film in the midst of coronavirus and the collections have come in despite the capacity cap of 50%.
