Pataakha box office collection day 1: Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan starrer starts on a dull note

Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha starring Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan and Sunil Grover got released yesterday and same has been getting good reviews but has not generated good buzz in comparison to competitor Sui Dhaaga-Made in India. yes, the makers of Sui Dhaaga has been doing a lot of events and shows to promote the same. As per reports, Sui Dhaaga has received a fair start of around 25% and Pataakha, on the other hand, has received very dull collections of 0-0.5% collections. But collections are not as bad films like Gala Guleiyan, Love Sonia and Manto. "Rs90 lakhs [875 screens]. India biz... Had a lukewarm start at the start of Day 1 and should grow over the weekend... However, the growth has to be multi-fold since the starting point has been extremely low," Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Trade analyst Girish Johar told Indian express that the awareness of the movie is very very low. And the makers are mostly banking the same on the brand name of Vishal Bharadwaj. He also mentioned that Sui Dhaaga is a huge competition and how they have to face big battle ahead. He predicted that around a crore and a half is what the movie will able to collect on day 1. Also, factors such as good word of mouth, Asia Cup final and word of mouth of Sui Dhaaga will influence the Box office collection. 
For the unversed, the movie is based on Charan Singh Pathik’s short story titled Do Behnein (Two Sisters). The movie is bankrolled by Vishal Bhardwaj, Rekha Bhardwaj, Dheeraj Wadhavan, Ajay Kapoor and Ishan Saksena. The story revolves around sisters who fight as India and Pakistan.
