Earlier this year, Kapil Sharma revealed that he is working with an OTT giant for a show that will mark his digital debut. He had made the announcement with a funny video posted on his social media accounts, and the excitement around it was seen even recently when this collaboration news was trending on Twitter. Pinkvilla now has some more interesting updates on this upcoming comedy special. We have learnt that the ace comedian will start shooting for the show from April.
“Kapil has already begun working on his material for the show, and is doing regular reading sessions with his team. He is currently recovering from his back injury, and will be travelling to Dubai next month to shoot for the special which will feature his trademark comedy style,” informs a source close to the development. Meanwhile, The Kapil Sharma Show is currently on a break and it’s artists have moved on to other projects. The actor-comedia even even confirmed the same on Twitter in January.
When a fan asked him the reason behind the show going off air, Kapil responded as, “Bcoz I need be there at home with my wife to welcome our second baby.” Last month, Kapil became a father to a baby boy. “Namaskaar Folded hands we are blessed with a Baby boy this early morning, by the grace of God Baby n Mother both r fine, thank you so much for all the love, blessings n prayers Folded hands love you all,” he announced on a microblogging website.
