EXCLUSIVE: Manoj Bajpayee started shooting for Despatch from today; film to be shot in Mumbai, Delhi & London
Besides Manoj, the film also features Shahana Goswami, Rii Sen and Arrchita Agarwal. The trio will join the cast from tomorrow
On January 29, actor Manoj Bajpayee announced his next film Despatch. “Enter the world of crime journalism with #Despatch. This edge of the seat thriller will be a direct to digital release,” Manoj wrote on Twitter. The movie is being directed by Titli filmmaker Kanu Behl, while Ronnie Screwvala is producing it. Manoj and Ronnie have earlier collaborated on director Abhishek Chaubey’s 2019 film, Sonchiriya. Pinkvilla has now learnt that Manoj started shooting for Despatch today in the Maximum City.
A source close to the development informs, “Manoj Bajpayee began filming in Mumbai today. He plays a crime journalist in the film and his co-stars Shahana Goswami, Rii Sen and Arrchita Agarwal will join him from tomorrow. All the three actresses play very important roles in the film. Besides Mumbai, Despatch will also be shot in Delhi and London.” Major portions of the film will be shot in Mumbai, with the ongoing schedule expected to be wrapped up by March 23.
The second schedule will begin in June or July. “The cast will travel to Delhi and London for smaller durations. However, the UK schedule will depend on the COVID-19 conditions in the country at that time,” adds the source. 
In the meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting to see Manoj in The Family Man 2. After the release of the show in 2019, admirers have been waiting for the makers to come back with a second season. It’s teaser was unveiled on January 13 and the show is scheduled for a release on February 12. The show’s followers are eagerly waiting for Amazon Prime Video to release the trailer.
