Article 15 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer gets a boost, earns THIS much on Saturday

Ayushmann Khurrana is back on the silver screen with his new film Article 15 which released on June 28. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the drama flick opened to a decent number on Friday and has witnessed a boost on its first Saturday at the box office. The film which revolves around caste discrimination in India, shows Ayushmann in a never-before-seen avatar donning the khaki attire. An unconventional look for a cop, the trailer of the film had created quite a buzz and Ayushmann's look was well received.
Having given two of 2018's biggest hits, Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho, Article 15 has also opened to similar numbers and is expected to do well. According to a report in Box Office India, Article 15 showed a 60 per cent jump in its collections. Early estimates suggested that on Saturday, 29 June, the film earned somewhere in the Rs 7.25-7.50 crore nett range.
Taking this into account, the film's total collection now stands a little over Rs 12 crore nett. Apart from facing stiff competition from Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh, Article 15's Sunday box office collection would also be hit by India's cricket World Cup match against England. 
The intense thriller has received positive reviews from film critics and is expected to grow based on the word of mouth. Pinkvilla in its review stated that in Article 15, "Ayushmann doesn’t falter with his strategy of underplaying the character, making it as authentic as it can be."
The talented cast of the film includes Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. What are your thoughts on Article 15? Let us know in the comments below.
