Pagalpanti Box Office Collection Day 1: John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi starrer opens on a poor note
John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Ileana D’Cruz, Kriti Kharbanda and Urvashi Rautela starrer Pagalpanti released this Friday. The Anees Bazmee directorial was off to a slow start at the box office. Here’s how much it collected.
Every Friday, movie lovers get a chance to see films of different genres from Bollywood. Be it action or comedy, movie buffs head to the cinemas to get entertained. This Friday, Anees Bazmee’s comedy film, Pagalpanti released in theatres. Starring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Ileana D’Cruz, Kriti Kharbanda and Urvashi Rautela, Pagalpanti. The film was being touted to be an out and out comedy from the makers of Welcome franchise. The star cast also had been promoting the film at various reality shows as well.
Coming to the box office collection of Day 1, John, Anil and Arshad’s Pagalpanti opened on a poor note at the ticket windows. The comedy film was off to a slow start and managed to rake in Rs 5 Crore nett at the box office on Day 1. The major collections came from different movie circuits were like Mumbai at around 1.60 crore, Delhi / UP at 1.15 crore nett and East Punjab at 49 Lakhs. The film had low collections in areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat. However, over the weekend, John, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi starrer might pick up owing to less of competition. 
Directed by Anees Bazmee, Pagalpani’s trailer left everyone amused and the songs like Bimaar Dil, Tum Ho Hatke and others are doing well on the music charts. It will be interesting to see how the film fares as the other film that hit the screens this week is a Disney Fantasy film, Frozen 2. For the Hindi version of the film, Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra have dubbed and hence, Pagalpanti might face some opposition from the same. Meanwhile, the stars of Pagalpanti have been promoting the film on shows like The Kapil Sharma Show, Bigg Boss 13 and others. It will be interesting to see how the film fares on the Weekend.
