In a shocking news on Sunday, Huffington Post reported that celebrated director Rajkumar Hirani has been accused of sexual misconduct by an assistant director who worked with him on his last blockbuster Sanju. While Hirani has in a statement denied the allegations, calling it 'malicious', reports suggested that his next Munna Bhai 3 has been put on hold until investigation. During Sanju interviews, Hirani had hinted at beginning work on the third film in the franchise.

However, PINKVILLA has exclusively learnt that the reports of Munna Bhai 3 being put on hold are baseless and fake. The film was never with Fox India and they were never the producers of Munna Bhai 3 to put anything on hold. Earlier today, a Mid-Day report said that Fox Star India, that is bound by a three-film deal with VVC Films —has conveyed to Vidhu Vinod Chopra that it will not work with them if the studio continues to collaborate with Rajkumar Hirani Films. Following this, the report claimed that Munna Bhai 3 has therefore been put on hold. Recently, when Arshad Warsi was asked about the movie, he said that the decision is in Hirani's hand and now with this sudden change of events, we wonder what will be the fate of the movie, after all?

Meanwhile, according to the HuffPost report, the woman in her statement recounted, “My mind, body and heart were grossly violated that night and for the next 6 months." She accused of the director of sexually abusing her on more than one occasion over a six-month period between March and September 2018.
