Hrithik Roshan on Priyanka Chopra: She could just as easily dumb herself down as she could intimidate
For the book on Priyanka Chopra by a noted journalist, Hrithik Roshan shared an anecdote during the shooting of Krrish in Manali and complimented Priyanka for being strong and independent.

Priyanka Chopra is a powerhouse performer. She has become a household name across the globe. She is one of our country’s true crossover star. Priyanka has won hearts with her performance in ABC’s Quantico and has worked in films like Baywatch, A Kid Like Jake and the soon to be released, Isn’t It Romantic?
In an excerpt from noted journalist Bharathi Pradhan’s book, Priyanka Chopra: The Dark Horse, co-star and close friend Hrithik Roshan talks about Priyanka’s determination. The two worked together in Krrish and Krrish 3.
Hrithik stated that he has never known Priyanka to seek validation or recognition for how hard she works. He added that Priyanka is a fun person and is always cheerful. As an actor, she is amazingly spontaneous and ‘painfully hardworking’.
Hrithik narrated an instance during the filming of Krrish in 2005 in Manali, where due to extreme cold and lack of oxygen in the air, some crew members fainted. Priyanka Chopra also started limping and was about to fall, when some crew members lifted her up and carried her to the hotel room. When Hrithik rushed to check on her, a half-conscious Priyanka was shouting at the lifters to put her down. Hrithik stated that this incident reflected Priyanka’s deep desire to be seen as strong, independent and self-reliant.
Hrithik was quoted as saying, “I often compliment Priyanka on her ability to almost mutate into the perfect person to fit any situation, person or environment. Almost like a chameleon. Only in her case, the transformation is of the intellect and is driven by a generous heart to make people around her comfortable. She could just as easily dumb herself down as she could intimidate, depending on the person or situation”
Talking about her success, Hrithik said, "Learning from my own experience of worldly success and how little it serves towards genuine happiness, I truly hope and wish Priyanka is putting in as much power and drive towards her own inner fulfilment too. I think she is and I am very happy for her.”
