Box Office Report: Close call in the clash, but Karan's ADHM leads over Ajay's Shivaay!
Diwali may be over, but the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil vs Shivaay clash still goes on. Though the Diwali weekend made it look like a one-sided clash, with ADHM leading, Monday and Tuesday saw Shivaay fight back.
While ADHM continued its good run with collections of INR 12.50 crore nett approx, Shivaay made a collection of INR 11 crore. Karan's movie's total now adds up to INR 64.54 crore whereas Ajay's movie's total adds up to INR 50.95 crore.
ADHM has been doing well in city multiplexes since day one (except Sunday), but the last two days has seen the movie perform well in mass belts due to the holiday period. Although not as high as Shivaay, but for this kind of a film it has been doing well.
Shivaay did well on Tuesday, going over the INR 10 crore mark thanks to the partial holiday for Bhai Dooj. The film has been doing very well in the Central markets and Gujarat and good in North and Bihar.
Tuesday was the closest it's ever been, in terms of the clash between the movies. However, the Delhi city and East Punjab numbers of ADHM on Tuesday showed a bigger lead in its favour. With the way the markets hold after the initial week, it maybe hard for Shivaay to catch up despite clawing its way in the last two days.
