Arjun Patiala Box Office Collection Day 2: Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon FAIL to draw the audience to theatres
Arjun Patiala released over the weekend. The Bollywood movie stars Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan in the lead. Clashing with Judgementall Hai Kya, the movie did not fair well on its Day 2 at the box office.
Arjun Patiala has failed to hit the mark at the box office. The comedy movie starring Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan in the lead released on Friday. The movie clashed with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao's thriller Judgementall Hai Kya. While the thriller movie has faired well at the box office, Arjun Patiala, unfortunately, couldn't stand high at the box office. The trailers teased a good masala movie. From funny sequences to masala movie action, dance and even an item number by Sunny Leone.
However, this blend did not draw the audiences to the cinema halls. The movie released amidst poor reviews and resulted in a not-so-sunny Day 1 collection. After a poor opening on Day 1, the Rohit Jugraj directorial did not register a great growth on Day 2 either. According to Box Office India, Arjun Patiala recorded merely Rs 1.50 crore growth on Day 2. The Saturday collections were hardly any higher than the opening day collections of Rs 1.25 crore nett.
As of end of Day 2, Arjun Patiala has collected a total of Rs 2.75 crore nett. The movie was expected to fair better in the North given it starred Diljit in the lead. However, this spoof did not interest audiences there either. Arjun Patiala recorded an opening box office collection lower than Diljit's recent Punjabi film, Shadaa. 
Arjun Patiala tells the tale of Arjun, played by Diljit who is a fitness freak, Ritu (Kriti) who plays a news reporter and Varun, who is Arjun's sidekick Onida. Have you watched the movie? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
