Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat was one of the most awaited films of 2019. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film has finally released today on Eid. Salman Khan is known to rule the box office and his Eid releases have worked for him almost all the time. Considering the buzz and excitement around Bharat, one would definitely expect it to have a great opening.
As reported by Box Office India, Salman and Katrina's Bharat had a bumper opening on its first day. The opening of Bharat is 60-65% and it is the biggest for a Hindi film since Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan which released during Diwali in 2018. The opening is however not big as Avengers: Endgame which released last in April this year.
The portal mentioned that as the film released on Wednesday and there's a long weekend, this Salman and Kat starrer can earn up to Rs 100 crore on the first three days itself. Salman, Katrina and Ali have also given a blockbuster in 2017, Tiger Zinda Hai. So the expectations from Bharat are definitely high.
The film also stars Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff and Tabu.
