Junglee Box Office Collection Day 1: Vidyut Jammwal’s film starts on an expected note & earns THIS much Friday

Every Friday a new movie hits the screens and it gives the audiences a chance to explore different genres. This week, Chuck Russell’s Junglee and Salman Khan’s Notebook released on Friday. Talking about Junglee, starring Vidyut Jammwal and Pooja Sawant in the lead, the film explores the animal kingdom and the relationship with the creatures of the forest. Helmed by Chuck Russell who is known for films like The Mask, The Scorpion King and I Am Wrath, Junglee is an action-adventure film that looks promising.

Coming to the box office collection, Junglee released yesterday and was off to a slow start. However, it picked up in certain states like Bihar and more as animal films work there more and managed to earn as expected. Junglee’s Box Office Collection for Day 1 is Rs 3.25 crores to Rs 3.50 crores which almost the same as the trade pundit’s prediction. The film has managed to fare well despite facing tough opposition from Akshay Kumar’s Kesari which is into its second week.

Junglee is expected to pick up over the weekend as the collection will be more from mass circuit areas like Bihar. In Bihar alone, Junglee has collection Rs 20 lakhs which is in line with the previous adventure films released in the state. While speaking to trade analyst Girish Johar he had said, “The trailer of Junglee was quite appreciated when it was released. The buzz around the film is quite hot given that international director Chuck Russell will be helming it. It will be a treat not only for families but for kids as well.” Thus, we can expect the film to mint more money as the weekend progresses as it is a family film and can be watched with kids as well. But, it will be interesting to see how Notebook starring two debutantes, Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal gives Junglee a tough fight.
