It is the season of superhero films. And now, after Captain Marvel, one more superhero movie is releasing today and we are talking about DCEU's Shazam. The DC flick is one of the most awaited movies of the year and is expected to mint good numbers at the box office. As per Variety.com, the movie is expected to garner around US$ 45-50 million domestically and it has already earned $ 3 million from the pre-sales. Warner Bros. has spent around $80 million to produce Shazam which is quite low considering the budget of previous DC movies like Wonder Woman and Aquaman. So, it can be a profitable film for the studio once it reaches $ 200 million plus worldwide.
DC's last movie Aquaman did amazingly well at the box office. It became the highest-grossing DC film of all-time and even entered in the coveted US$ 1 billion club. Shazam may not reach billion club, but it is expected to do great at the BO.

Warner Bros.’ comic-book adventure will get competition from STX’s drama The Best of Enemies and Pet Sematary. And it has few days to cash on as before Avengers: Endgame releases to shatter the box office records.
